Once again, the club annual general meeting (with a free breakfast) was held on Sunday, Oct 28, 2007 in the "New Penny Restaurant", Cookstown. This was attended by seventeen members.
Members talked about the sad passing of Stuart Pierce on May 13 2007. He will be missed by everyone.
The club had 37 paid up member in 2007, which is an improvement over 2006.
In 2007, the club flew from four different fields. After 18 years as the club's field coordinator, Mike Thomas announced that he is stepping down from the position. Mike got a well deserved round of applause. Well done Mike.
No safety violations were reported in 2007 and Jock Nunn, also announced that he is stepping down from the role of Safety Coordinator. Jack also received a round of applause. Well done Jack.
Out of the eight scheduled competitions in 2007, six were actually held. Once again, Doug Pike was the overall champion. Well done Doug.

This meeting represented Greg Galler' s last year as president. Greg got a round of applause for being such a great president. This position as well as replacements for Mike and Jack were voted on. The new executive is as follows :

Steve Cole volunteered to distribute the Gull to club members without internet access and Des McKee and Greg Galler agreed to continue to coordinate the COGG web site.
Among the motions passed was the following: That all flyers shall attach a copy of their current MAAC and COGG membership cards to their frequency pegs, which must be on display on the frequency board while flying.
After a full discussion this was approved. So before the start of the flying season, find a small plastic tag/holder to contain reduced size copies of your COGG and MAAC membership cards and attach to your frequency pin.
